Backstory for Loch Castle:
Perched on a small island in the middle of a deep, cold lake, Loch Castle has stood for centuries as an impregnable fortress. The castle has served many rulers, each adding to its defenses and expanding its influence over the surrounding lands. Its strategic location and high walls made it the ideal place for nobles and kings to retreat in times of war. Yet, the castle holds more than just defensive value—rumors say that beneath its stone floors lies a labyrinth of tunnels that hide powerful artifacts and ancient relics.
Recently, strange happenings have plagued Loch Castle. The once-calm waters surrounding it have become treacherous, and eerie lights have been seen glowing from the highest tower at night. Whispers of a dark force gathering strength beneath the castle have reached nearby villages. Fearing for their safety, the ruling lord has called upon a group of skilled adventurers to investigate.
